Welcome everyone to The LeBeau Legacy!
Legacy Notes: I'm not playing with any official legacy rules, just sort of you know, playing a legacy. I'm sort of mixing and matching personal challenges, but only when it sort of serves the story.

This here is our founder, Rourke LeBeau. Isn't she pretty?
Rourke moved to Twinbrook with the hopes of becoming the city's first, and she hopes only, Ghost Hunter. She doesn't have a lot of money, but she does have really high hopes of building a big life for herself. It doesn't have a house on it yet, but she has purchased one of the biggest lots in the town, in the hopes of one day also having the largest house on it.
The first thing she does though, instead of working on getting a small place built for herself is talk to the boy that brings her mail by.

See Rourke, despite her high expectations for her life, is a Good soul, and likes making new friends. The mail boy tells her about some of the goings on in town, and she gets the hint that her services might be well needed in town right now.
Once the mail boy moves on to deliver his next paper, Rourke looks through the paper to pick up her first job. She's ready to start working, and saving up the money she'll need to get a start on her new home.

She's got just enough cash left from her move to have a small place built for her. Rourke is a bit Eccentric, so she has the house built so that her room is in the basement. It saves her money on construction, and she has a nice cold, dark room to sleep in, where the daylight doesn't come in. She plans to spend most of her evenings out on jobs, so the darker the room during the day, the better.
She does splurge a little on making sure there's a few nice things in her small house.

The tub was a huge expense, but when she sinks down into it after long day of moving and unpacking, it's totally worth it. She's only got one job lined up for the evening - a simple spirit invasion, and since she's not due until later, she decides to head downtown to see what Twinbrook has to offer her.

Rourke is a Vegetarian, and is thrilled to find a Community Garden waiting for her downtown. She's excited to start her own small garden in her side yard, so she spends a few hours picking fruits and vegetables to use to both stock her new fridge, and start a few plants at home. She's most excited about a few of the things she can't even plant yet, like the Bell Peppers and Garlic. She promises herself that she'll come back to the garden when she's better equipped for the more high maintenance plants.
Once she's got everything ready to go, it's time for her first job as Twinbrook's own Ghost Hunter. She expects that she'll get a few laughs, but once people see what she can do, she's convinced that work will pick up quickly.

Once she's dressed and has her gear ready, she takes a taxi across town to her first job. It's a small spirit invasion - 3 spirits to be exact, but their out and about when she arrives, making it a quick job. The residents are happy with her work and give her a special bonus for completing the job.
Unfortunately, the outfit gets dirty if the spirits are even a little troubled, and since it's the only one she's got to get her through, she heads to the local landromat before she goes home. She's happy to discover it's a quiet place in the wee hours of morning, and she sets about getting things started.

Nicer yet, there's a gym right next door. She's tired, but it's a good way to kill time while her clothes wash and dry, so she walks over to give the place a shot.

Thankfully, the cycles on her clothes - minimal as they are - are quick. She's taking her clothes out of the dryer before she knows it...

After an extremely long day and night, Rourke finds herself at home and sliding under the covers of her new bed. She's decorated the room in a sort of retro design to go with the whole 'underground bunker' feel of her new basement. Before she knows it, even with the new house...room...bed, she's asleep.

The next afternoon, before work, she heads outside to tend to her new garden. She's super excited to see how much things have grown and she can't wait to start taking things off the plants to eat. She's also a little curious about experimenting with plant combinations and is eager to get better at gardening so she can start putting together odd combinations of plants.

At her first job of the evening, she meets Jake. The two of them hit it off right away, and once Rourke is finished with her job, she spends several hours at the house chatting with her new friend. He's a bit shy and though there's an obvious spark between them, he's not quite ready to have a girlfriend.

Rourke's night improves even further when after completing her second job of the evening, she gets a call from City Hall. They've decided to recognize her for the work she's doing in Twinbrook. They might not all believe in ghosts and spirits yet, but she's obviously doing good enough for the citizens of the city to start paying attention to her work. She heads down to City Hall to pick up her reward on her way home that night.

Rourke spends the rest of her free time - between work and gardening, inventing! She purchases a big workbench for her to organize all her tools. Once she's made a few small things and showed them around town, the school asks if she might put together some toys for the kids. She agrees and gets to work. It takes her a few weeks, but finally she's able to put together a bunch of small toys for the kids.

Her first birthday in Twinbrook is closely approaching, and she calls up Jake and asks him out for an evening in town. They talk on the phone occasionally, but since she's been concentrating so much effort at home, she hasn't been able to see him in a while. They meet down at place downtown where they can get some drinks and hang out for a while, she hopes that she can convince him to help celebrate her birthday in a few days.

Wait, what's this?
When Jake shows up, he's obviously, not the same Jake she met just a few short weeks ago. He's older now, having had a birthday of his own and somehow she didn't learn about it at all. He's still interested in her though, and they spend a few hours at the bar chatting and drinking and...

Jake agrees to meet Rourke at the beach in a few days for her birthday. They'll have (veggie) dogs and sit and watch the tide roll in. But when her big day rolls Jake doesn't show up.

In fact, she can barely get a hold of him at all. She calls him several times from her house, and he agrees to come over, but he always calls back a short time later and cancels. She doesn't know what's up, but she does know that she's done with Jake for good.

This is so great! You're very brave to be trying so many things out with one sim, gardening, ghost hunting, inventing...I'm nowhere near that ambitious with my sims. XD
What's up with Jake? What a douche...she's better off without him.
Great start!
